Biographical Information
PERSONAL:

Representative Robert Manger is a dedicated member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives, serving the 101st District, which includes parts of Choctaw, part of Midwest City, Nicoma Park, and parts of Oklahoma City. A veteran legislator, first elected in 2018, he has been re-elected for his fourth term.

Born in Oklahoma City and a graduate of Del City High School, Representative Manger earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Oklahoma and an Associate of Arts in Sociology from Rose State College.

Representative Manger’s distinguished career in public service began in law enforcement In 1978 with the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office. In 1987, he joined the United States Marshals Service, where he served until his retirement in 2011. During his tenure, he was part of the Criminal Field Department and SWAT Team. As an Inspector in Charge for 15 years, he managed daily operations, including financial oversight and earned 20 U.S. Marshals Service Performance Awards and a Distinguished Expert Award for Superior Shooting.

Representative Manger remains actively engaged in his community and professional organizations. He is an Honorary Commander for the 552nd Air Control Wing at Tinker Air Force Base, a member of the Mid-Del Tinker 100 Club, the United States Marshals Association (Lifetime Member) and the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he is a Community Partner of the Air Force Space Forces Association and a life member of the NRA. Beyond his public service, he has worked as a realtor in the Oklahoma City metro area for more than 12 years.

For Oklahoma's 60th Legislature, Representative Manger serves as chair of the Judiciary & Public Safety Oversight Committee and is a member of the Appropriations and Budget Committee, the Veterans and Military Affairs Committee and the Criminal Judiciary Committee. He also serves as Oversight Committee Chair for the Floor Leader Team.

Representative Manger has successfully championed impactful legislation. In 2024, he authored a bill signed into law that made combining fentanyl with other controlled substances a felony, punishable by up to life in prison and a minimum $50,000 fine. In 2023, he authored legislation, also signed into law, making the first offense of domestic abuse against a pregnant woman a felony.

Representative Manger and his wife, Karlita, have been married for 42 years and have lived in their District 101 home for over 30 years. They are members of Southern Hills Baptist Church. The Mangers have two adult sons, Jordan and Austin. Jordan and his wife, Britnee, are the proud parents of a seven-year-old son.
