Biographical Information
PERSONAL:

Rep. Anthony Moore has represented Oklahoma’s House District 57, which includes Custer, Roger Mills, and Beckham counties, since his election in 2020. In 2024, Moore was elected Speaker Pro Tempore, the second-highest leadership role in the House, by his colleagues.

A fifth-generation native of Custer County, Moore graduated from Clinton High School, where he won a state championship in golf. He attended Oklahoma Christian University, graduating summa cum laude with a degree in Governmental and Legal Studies and a minor in Bible. While at Oklahoma Christian, Moore was selected to attend the prestigious American Studies Program in Washington D.C. In 2007, he earned his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law. During law school, Moore also had the opportunity to study international law at Universidad de Granada, in Granada, Spain.

Moore began his professional career as a landman in the oil and gas industry before transitioning into public service as an Assistant District Attorney for Latimer, Washita, and Custer Counties. He has since transitioned his practice to civil law, managing the Clinton location of a firm with multiple office across the state. His practice focuses primarily on oil and gas law and property law. Moore has received numerous recognitions for his civil practice, especially for his work representing oil and gas mineral owners, earning Super Lawyers Rising Star recognition in the field of oil and gas law for five consecutive years.

Since his election to the House, Moore has championed a wide range of conservative priorities. His legislative record includes voting to protect life, uphold Second Amendment rights, reduce regulatory burdens, lower taxes, defend property owners’ rights, and preserve water resources. He has also advocated for parental rights, safeguarded girls’ sports, and prioritized education reforms such as increasing teacher pay. Moore has been a staunch supporter of law and order, working to strengthen public safety across the state.

Beyond the Capitol, Moore has served his community in various leadership roles, including having previously served as Chairman of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Trustee of the Clinton Public School Foundation, Vice-President of the Clinton Lions Club, member of Cordell Christian Home Board, President of the Custer County Bar Association, and Attorney-Coach for the Clinton High School mock trial team.

Moore and his wife, Rachel, are deeply involved in their local church, the Clinton Church of Christ, where he serves as a deacon overseeing youth and finance ministries. Moore also serves as a World Bible School study guide. Together, the Moores are also raising their three children with a commitment to faith, service, and community.
