Biographical Information
PERSONAL:

Mark Vancuren is a former basketball coach and high school biology teacher with 30 years' experience. He also coached baseball, golf, and track.

His wife, Sheila, is a former teacher and coach as well. His parents were educators with his father serving as a junior high school principal and coach. His mother was an English teacher and high school counselor.

Vancuren is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University and holds a master's degree in Administration from Northeastern State University. He and his wife are licensed Realtors with Keller Williams Realty in Owasso.

Mark and Sheila have been married since 1994. They have three children: Riley, 25; Jaxon, 22; and Avery, 20. The family loves sports and the outdoors: hunting, skiing, camping, and white-water rafting.

In the House of Representatives, Vancuren has focused on budget issues, building roads, bringing high-paying jobs to Owasso, and OF COURSE helping increase teacher pay and other important issues in education.
