PERSONAL:
Growing up on the south side of Oklahoma City, Arturo knows what it's like to face structural injustices. From his experiences, Arturo developed values such as learning, resilience, and service, immersing himself in academic and extracurricular activities while always striving to leave a lasting contribution in his community. Arturo is a first-generation American, bilingual, and son of immigrant parents from Mexico so he is committed to working hard and fighting for progress.
Arturo attained a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Oklahoma. With the help and trust of this community, he has also managed to win his seat in the State House of Representatives representing District 89 in south Oklahoma City as one of the youngest elected officials in the legislature.
Creciendo en el sur de Oklahoma City, Arturo vivió de cerca las injusticias estructurales que enfrentan muchas comunidades. Estas experiencias le inculcaron valores como el aprendizaje, la resiliencia y el servicio. Siempre comprometido con generar un cambio positivo, Arturo se involucró activamente en actividades académicas y extracurriculares, con el objetivo de dejar un impacto duradero en su comunidad. Como estadounidense de primera generación, bilingüe e hijo de padres inmigrantes de México, Arturo tiene un firme compromiso de trabajar arduamente y luchar por el progreso de la comunidad.
Arturo obtuvo una licenciatura en ingeniería mecánica de la Universidad de Oklahoma. Con el apoyo y la confianza de su comunidad, logró ser electo para la Cámara de Representantes del Estado, representando al Distrito 89 en el sur de Oklahoma City, convirtiéndose en uno de los legisladores más jóvenes en la legislatura estatal.
