Rep. Jim Shaw represents Oklahoma House District 32, which includes all of Lincoln County as well as the communities of Perkins in Payne County and Meridian in Logan County.
Shaw is a 2006 graduate of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and earned his bachelor's degree in finance and accounting. Now an entrepreneur in the oil and gas industry, Shaw brings his expertise in business to the Legislature.
In 2024, Shaw was elected to the Oklahoma House of Representatives for the 60th Legislature and appointed as the vice chair of the State Powers Committee. Shaw was also appointed by the Speaker of the House to sit on the Appropriations and Budget Natural Resources Subcommittee, Government Modernization and Technology Committee, and Government Oversight Committee.
Shaw's primary policy focus will be opposing the expansion of industrial wind and solar energy projects and preventing foreign ownership and investment in Oklahoma land. He aims to ensure that policies support the people of Oklahoma, local businesses and protect Oklahoma’s natural resources.
Shaw is married to Danna Jo, who he met while attending OSU. They are the parents of two daughters and currently reside in Chandler.
