The Oklahoma House Page Program offers current high school juniors and seniors a unique opportunity to learn how state government works.
During a week at the Capitol, Pages:

• Shadow their Representative and observe daily legislative activities
• Learn how to read and debate bills in a mock legislative session
• Participate in leadership and civic engagement activities
• Build friendships with students from across Oklahoma

The program runs from early February through mid-May. Pages choose one week to attend.

Pages are required to stay with the Program the entirety of the week. All Food, transportation and Hotel are provided.

Pages are representing both their communities and the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Professional attire is required:

Young men: Dress shirt, tie, slacks, and sport coat or suit
Young women: Blouse, sweaters with slacks or a skirt, or a professional dress, cardigans and blazers are not required but encouraged
• Comfortable shoes are recommended, as much of the day is spent on your feet (clean sneakers are allowed)
• During after hour activities casual clothing is allowed
Young men: jeans, t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, jackets
Young women: jeans, long skir• Young women: jeans, long skirts, long dresses, t-shirts, blouses, jacket, sweaters, sweatshirts
No shorts, tank tops, cropped shirts, low cut shirts, short skirts or short dresses are allowed. Wording on all clothing must be appropriate.

  • 1. When will applications open?
    • Applications for the next session open on [December 1st].

  • 2. When will applications close?
    • When a week is full, it will be taken off of the application, when all of the weeks are full the application will close.

  • 3. Why do I need to pick 3 weeks?
    • If your first choice week is full, you will be scheduled off of your 2nd and 3rd choice.

  • 4. Where will I stay?
    • Pages stay at a designated hotel, supervised by House staff.

  • 5. What if I need to miss a day?
    • Pages are expected to attend all scheduled days. Please select a week that works best with your school calendar.

  • 6. How do I find who my sponsoring/local Rep is?
    • Use your home address and use this link.

  • 7. What happens if there is weather during my week?
    • The staff will monitor all weather and will contact parents and students. if students are already at the capitol they will go on with their week as normal. delayed star and early end may happen if weather impedes.
